James McIntyre

James McIntyre has provided award-winning interior design for residential and commercial clients in Canada and the United States for over 25 years.  Inspired by extensive travel to the great cities of the world and by distinctive architecture, international design and culture, James imbues each project with his world view, deference to site, place and client lifestyle, and with his unparalleled brand of elegance, balance and restraint.  His scope of involvement on any given project has ranged from oversight of architectural concept and design to complete interior detailing and finishing, furnishings, lighting and accessories.   

James’ design portfolio spans North America from Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Kelowna and Montreal to Portland, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Palm Springs, San Francisco and Boston.  His diverse projects, design education and traveled point of view make him as comfortable designing a contemporary urban penthouse as a sprawling country estate or modern lakeside villa.

James’ work has been recognized in both television and print media including regular appearances on House and Home Television and HGTV’s Top Ten.  Recent projects have been featured on the cover and in the pages of House and Home, Western Living, Style at Home, Luxe San Diego, Luxe Arizona and on the 2017 Gold List in Luxe Los Angeles.

Increasing demand for James’ design services in the Scottsdale and Palm Springs area brings to fruition his lifelong dream of living and working in the southwestern U.S.  His fascination and love for desert landscapes, design and lifestyle took root at an early age and are strikingly expressed through recently acclaimed design projects in the area.   James is pleased to provide design services from his new base in Phoenix, AZ while continuing to work with his team in Western Canada.
